Privacy policy

This policy describes how the app and website handle your data. Both collect as little as possible: the app keeps your planning on-device, the website runs without persistent identifiers.

The data controller is 3020 Studios. You can reach us at [email protected].

What the app and website store locally

The app stores a few things locally on your device so it can work, namely:

The website stores a few preferences in your browser, like your theme and, if you opt in, your choice about session recordings. Your language preference goes in a functional cookie so we can show you the right language each visit.

  • the selected planning year
  • leave days and the current plan
  • theme preference and similar app settings
03

What we collect

We collect only the minimum needed to run and improve the app and website. Our main processors for analytics and crash data are hosted in the EU. For certain technical services, providers may use servers outside the EEA, secured via Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).

On the website, we use cookieless analytics, including aggregate heatmaps of clicks, scrolling, and pointer movement. No cookies or persistent identifiers are stored. Anonymous session recordings (clicks, scrolls, navigation; form inputs masked) only start after you explicitly opt in via the privacy prompt or Privacy settings in the footer. If you do, we store a session identifier locally to keep your recording continuous.

  • pseudonymized app analytics: actions such as syncing your calendar, exporting an .ics file, or sharing a plan, with properties like year, count of leave days allocated, app version, and app environment
  • cookieless website analytics, including aggregate heatmaps (no persistent identifiers)
  • anonymous session recordings of website interactions (clicks, scrolls, navigation; form inputs masked), only after your explicit consent
  • crash and diagnostic data in production builds, configured to exclude exact planning details
  • technical metadata such as app version and environment
04

What we don’t collect

We take steps to prevent detailed planning data from being sent through telemetry.

  • we avoid recording exact selected leave dates
  • we avoid recording user notes or free text
  • we do not use advertising SDKs
  • we do not sell personal data
05

Calendar access

If you use calendar features, the app may request access to your device calendar to create events. Calendar access is used only for the feature you requested.

06

Retention

We keep analytics, session recordings, and crash data only as long as needed for their purpose, and in any case no longer than 12 months.

07

Legal basis

Core functionality runs on contract performance. App analytics and cookieless website analytics without persistent identifiers run on legitimate interest (product improvement). Website session recordings run on your consent.

You can withdraw your session-recording consent through Privacy settings in the footer. You can stop app analytics by uninstalling the app, and you can clear local data through your device storage settings.

08

Your rights

Under applicable law, you have the right to:

  • access your personal data
  • rectification or erasure of your data
  • restriction of processing
  • data portability
  • object to processing based on legitimate interest
09

Complaints and contact

If you think your rights are not being respected, you can file a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be) or with the supervisory authority in your own country.
